A body has been pulled from a stretch of water in Dorney.
The search for missing woman, Muriel, age 68 from Slough, has been called off after a body was located in water at Bovenery Lock, Dorney at just after 1.10pm today (December 1) following a call from a member of the public.
Detective Inspector Peter Wall, based at High Wycombe police station, said: “Tragically, following a search for Muriel, a body was recovered from the water in Dorney earlier today.
“Although formal identification has not yet taken place, we believe this to be Muriel, and her next of kin have been made aware.
“The death is being treated as unexplained, but not suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
“My thoughts are with Muriel’s family and friends at this very difficult time.”
