A quick thinking lorry driver saved his trailer by quickly detaching it from the main body of his vehicle after a fire broke out on the M4 on Tuesday night around midnight.
Firefighters from Langley took three quarters of an hour to douse the flames in the lorry's engine near Junction 5 for Langley and Junction 6 for Slough and Windsor on the westbound carriageway.
A spokesman said: "Quick thinking by the lorry driver saved his trailer."
